A Good Cabin Fever

It hit 100 degrees this past week.

When it gets that hot we start dreaming of escape to the mountains where 75 degree weather reigns supreme.

The cool mountain air is heaven and the lake is simply refreshing.  Little B'ee and his Jan Gran seem to think so..

On our recent visit to the cabin we enjoyed some quality lake time that included swimming, fishing, digging, and a little bit of tractor driving.

For the little guys more "sit still and pretend you are driving a tractor" driving.

The lawn tractor is Pop's new toy.

Big B'ee also caught some fish this time around.

Great fun, great memories.

Here's hoping your family is making some sweet summer memories.

Cheers to summer!

Oh Baby

Recently we traveled to our sweet nephew Little O's dedication.

This boy is a blessing to our family.  Can't you just tell by his big chocolate brown eyes and pondering stare.

That sweet boy does not miss anything.  He is a laid back child that sits and takes in the world through adorable eyes.

His dedication at church was a sweet affair and we were so happy to be with family as my brother and sister-in-law dedicated Little O to grow up in faith.

Here is a picture of three generations: my Dad, (a.k.a. Grandpa), Brother, and Little O.

As you can see his cousins adore him.

It was truly a wonderful time of seeing family and friends.

The B'ee Boys had a big time of swimming and playing in the hotel pool with their new cool red sunglasses.

Doesn't everyone need red sunglasses?

Even red sunglasses to wear at breakfast.

It takes a special person to pull this look off just right.

Here's to making memories..next up a look at our cabin time.

Cheers to summer!

Toy Story: Nightmare on My Street

I really didn't want this to be a complaining post.

After all it is a beautiful day, the sun is shining, and we have soccer camp and VBS all week long.

Sounds fun, right?  Well, that depends on how you look at it.  If I choose to embrace the sunshine, I also have to embrace the 97 degree weather and humidity that comes with it.

If I choose to embrace the fun activities my kiddos will partake this week, I also must think of the wrangling of tired boys that will accompany the infusion of fun.
Are you a glass full or half full Mommy?  Hmmmm?  Good question.

What is really causing my post to tilt towards Whiny Mommy is the abundance

Secret Agent and a Sugar Rush

We continue our vacation time at the mountain cabin with the grandparents: Jan Gran and Pop.  The boys are having fun playing outdoors.  It is beautiful here in the North Carolina mountains.  The weather is sunny and it was actually warm enough to dip into the lake, but not too warm.  Mountain air, ahhhh...

One of the boys favorite activities is to go into town.

A Few Words for Wednesday-Vacation

You may have noticed the Mommy Message taking a little break this week.  We went to my sweet little nephew, Owen's dedication this weekend in Florida.

This is one of our many "sanity stops" on the old vacation route: I-95 near Savannah, GA from Orlando.

Check out the merry-go-round at the outlet mall.  The boys had fun and Mommy had a really fun time at the Coach outlet store

Wordless Wednesday-Highlands

This is a stunning waterfall in the North Carolina mountains.  Being around the sights and sounds of nature always serves to refresh and revitalize.
